How to trade on DD Predict
Everything from opening an account to taking your money out, in the order you will meet it. Two minutes of video first, then the detail.
1. Open an account
- Press Register at the top of the markets page. It takes about two minutes.
- Choose a username. This is what you sign in with, so pick one you will remember. Your email and mobile number also work at sign-in.
- Enter your full name, mobile number and email, and set a password of at least 8 characters.
- If a friend gave you a referral code, enter it here. It cannot be added later, and it gives you 10% off every trading fee for as long as you hold the account.
One account per person, 18 and over. The name on the account has to match the bank account you withdraw to, so use your real name from the start.
2. Fund your account
Press the green Deposit button. There are two ways to pay.
Bank transfer
- Pick Bank transfer. The wallet shows the account to pay into, with a copy button beside each detail.
- Make the transfer from your own bank app for any amount from 30.00 MYR to 50,000.00 MYR.
- Come back, type the amount you sent and the transfer reference, and press Submit.
- Our cashier matches the payment to your request and credits your balance. Most are done within minutes during the day; you can follow it under History in the wallet.
USDT
- Pick USDT, choose the network and enter the amount in USDT. A deposit address is created for that one payment.
- Send from your own wallet or exchange. The network confirms it and your balance is credited automatically, in MYR, at the rate shown to you before you sent.
3. Read a market
Every card asks one question with a definite answer, and names the source it will be settled against. Tap the card to see the full question, the rules and the price history.
The price is the probability
Each outcome is priced in cents, from 1¢ to 99¢. A share at 62¢ is the market saying that outcome is about 62% likely. Every share pays exactly 1.00 MYR if that outcome happens, and nothing if it does not.
Yes and No
Every outcome has a Yes and a No button. Yes means you think it will happen. No means you think it will not, and it is priced at 100¢ less the Yes price: a 62¢ Yes is a 38¢ No. On a market with several outcomes, each row has its own pair.
The two views
Active shows markets you can trade now. Resolved shows what recent markets settled to, with the winning outcome marked, so you can see how a family of markets tends to go before you take a position.
Why prices move
Prices follow the money and the source. When more is traded on one side, that side gets dearer and the other side cheaper, the same way any market works. The price you are given is the one confirmed at the moment your order is accepted.
4. Place an order
- Press Yes or No on the outcome you want. The order slip opens.
- Enter the amount in MYR, from 5.00 MYR. The quick buttons fill common amounts.
- The slip shows the price, the number of shares you receive, the fee, and what the position pays if you are right. Check them.
- Press Buy. The amount and the fee leave your balance; the position appears in your Portfolio.
The fee
A fee is charged once, when you buy, and never on settlement. It is worked out as 5% × shares × price × (1 − price), which is largest on a 50¢ market and fades to almost nothing at 5¢ or 95¢. The exact figure is on the slip before you confirm. Referred accounts pay 10% less.
If the price moves between opening the slip and pressing Buy, the slip tells you and asks you to confirm at the new price. Nothing is taken until you do.
5. A worked example
You buy 100.00 MYR of Yes at 62¢.
- Fee: 5% × 161.29 × 0.62 × 0.38 = 1.90 MYR, taken with the order
- If Yes happens: 161.29 shares × 1.00 MYR = 161.29 MYR paid to your balance. Profit 61.29 MYR, less the 1.90 fee.
- If Yes does not happen: the position pays nothing. The 100.00 MYR and the fee are gone.
- If the market is voided: the 100.00 MYR and the fee come back in full.
The same trade written the other way: buying No at 38¢ with 100.00 MYR gives 263.16 shares, and pays 263.16 MYR if the outcome does not happen.
6. Your positions, and cashing out
Portfolio lists every open position with what you paid, what it pays if it wins, its value at the current price, and your profit or loss so far. Settled positions move to their own tab with the result.
Cash out
Most open positions can be sold back before the market settles. Press Cash out on the position and you are offered its value at the current price, less an 8% margin. Accept it and that amount goes to your balance immediately.
Cashing out is final. The position is closed and does not come back if the market later goes your way. An offer is not always available: a market that is suspended, close to its cut-off, or whose source has gone quiet will not quote one.
7. Settlement
- Every market closes at the time on its card. After that, no new orders.
- When the named source publishes, the market settles automatically. Most settle within minutes; some wait on a source that publishes once a day, such as a lottery draw or a market close.
- Winning positions are paid to your balance. Nothing needs to be claimed. Your Portfolio and the Resolved view both show the outcome.
When a market is voided
If the source never publishes, publishes something the market cannot be read against, or the question turns out to have been ambiguous, the market is voided and every amount is returned in full, including the fee. We void rather than guess.
8. Withdraw
- Open the wallet and choose Withdraw.
- Pick bank transfer (from 50.00 MYR) or USDT on Tron, TRC20 (from 50 USDT, at the rate shown). Save your bank account or wallet address once; it is kept for next time.
- Enter the amount and submit. Bank withdrawals are checked by a person and a second person has to agree before money moves. USDT is sent to the address you saved.
9. Referral and points
- Referral. Once your deposits total 30.00 MYR, your code appears on the Referral page. Friends who join with it pay 10% less in fees; you receive 10% of their fees and 10% of the points they earn, credited automatically each time one of their positions settles.
- Points. Every position that settles earns 1 point per 100.00 MYR traded. Points are exchanged for items on the Rewards page and are valid for 12 months.
10. Limits and safeguards
- Smallest trade 5.00 MYR. Most on one market per person 2,000.00 MYR, most in a day 10,000.00 MYR. Some markets carry lower limits of their own; the slip tells you.
- You can set your own deposit limit, take a time out, or exclude yourself on the Responsible trading page. A limit you lower applies at once; one you raise waits 24 hours.
- Trading on a market where you already know the answer is not allowed, and those positions are voided.
The full rules, including how prices are built and what we take, are on the How it works page.
Questions
What does 62¢ mean?
The market puts that outcome at about 62% likely. A share costs 0.62 MYR and pays 1.00 MYR if the outcome happens.
Why did my order confirm at a different price?
Prices move with the money on each side. If the price changed while your slip was open, you were asked to confirm at the new price before anything was taken.
How long does a deposit take?
Bank transfers are matched by our cashier, usually within minutes during the day. USDT is credited as soon as the network confirms it.
Why can I not withdraw my whole balance?
Money in open positions is not available until they settle, and every deposit has to be traded through once. The wallet shows the part you can take out now.
What happens if a market cannot be settled?
It is voided and every amount, including the fee, is returned in full.
Can I have more than one account?
No. One account per person. Opening more is grounds for closing all of them.
